2. Scope and Acceptance

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data of professional installers and service providers ("Installers," "you") using the App, and how we process Homeowner Data on your behalf. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

3. Data We Collect and How We Use It

We process different categories of data for specific purposes and under legal bases as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3.1. Installer Account and Service Data

Data: Your name, company name, email address, telephone number, account credentials, App usage logs, configuration settings, and service activity history.

Purpose: To create and manage your account, provide and maintain the core functionalities of the App, communicate with you regarding service updates or support, and ensure the security and improvement of our services.

Legal Basis: Processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and for our legitimate interests in service improvement and security (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

3.2. Location Data (As flagged by Google Play)

Data: Precise location data (GPS coordinates or network-derived location).

Collection Context: This data is accessed and collected only during the initial setup process when you create a new energy system (plant) for a Homeowner. The App will request relevant device permissions at that moment.

Purpose: The precise location is used exclusively to:

a. Fetch localized weather information for the plant's site.

b. Generate photovoltaic (PV) power generation forecasts and simulations based on that weather data and geographical position, which are essential for system sizing, configuration, and performance monitoring.

Retention: The location data is linked to the specific plant profile and retained for the operational lifecycle of that plant to enable ongoing performance analysis and reporting. It is stored securely in an encrypted format.

User Control: You can manage location permissions at the device level. Denying location access will prevent you from using the "new plant setup" feature and its associated forecasting services.

Legal Basis: Processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you to provide the App's core functionality (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

3.3. Homeowner Data (Processed on Your Behalf)

Data: Homeowner contact details, energy system installation address (if different from precise location), technical system specifications, performance data (energy production, consumption, storage levels), and device status/error logs.

Purpose: To enable you, the Installer, to provide configuration, monitoring, and maintenance services to the Homeowner through the App.

Legal Basis & Your Responsibility: For this data, you (the Installer) act as an independent data controller. You are solely responsible for establishing a lawful basis (e.g., consent or contractual necessity) with the Homeowner for collecting their data and for sharing it with us via the App. We process Homeowner Data strictly on your instructions as a data processor, as detailed in Section 7.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Transfers

We may share personal data with:

Affiliates and Service Providers: Trusted vendors who provide hosting, analytics, weather data services, and customer support, all under strict contractual obligations that mandate confidentiality and GDPR-compliant processing.

Legal Authorities: If required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Successor Entities: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data.

5. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). If transfers outside the EEA (e.g., to our headquarters in China for group-level support) are necessary, we ensure they are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law (e.g., tax, accounting). Account data is retained while your account is active. Location and Homeowner Data linked to a specific plant is retained for the operational life of that plant to provide ongoing services. You may delete specific Homeowner Data via the App, triggering its deletion from our active systems.

7. Your Rights (For Installers)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data.

Restrict or object to our processing of your data.

 Request data portability.

Withdraw consent at any time, where processing was based on consent.

Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your member state.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 1.

8. Homeowner Data and Processor Responsibilities

Regarding Homeowner Data, our role is that of a data processor acting on your instructions. Our processing activities are governed by this policy and our data processing obligations to you. You, as the data controller, are responsible for:

Providing appropriate notices to Homeowners and obtaining a valid legal basis for processing.

Respecting and fulfilling Homeowners' data subject rights related to the data you control.

9. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. These include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top will indicate the latest version.
